Easy Tuna Lettuce Wraps Ingredient Highlights
In my opinion, the best lettuce for lettuce wraps is butter lettuce because the leaves are nice and big and naturally soft and bendable without breaking. Also, I’m totally obsessed with the subtly sweet flavor it lends.
As for tuna, I usually go for albacore tuna in water, but whatever cans you usually use will work.
You can use mayo or plain Greek yogurt; just keep in mind the yogurt will give it a little bit of a tangy flavor. I like to add crushed red pepper for a little kick, but that’s totally optional.

How to Make Tuna Lettuce Wraps
This quick and easy lunch recipe is as simple as draining the tuna and adding it to a bowl with the mayo, oregano, salt, pepper, and crushed pepper. I like to mix it with a fork and use the tongs to break down the tuna to make a smoother tuna salad.
Rinse and dry your lettuce leaves and add the tuna inside. One can of tuna usually makes enough for me to separate the tuna salad into 3 lettuce leaves.
Assemble your lettuce wraps like a taco. When you’re ready to eat you can roll them up, encasing the tuna in the lettuce for easy eating with no mess.

How I Store Leftover Tuna Salad
If you make too much tuna salad, save some!
Leftover tuna salad lasts in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Since it can be enjoyed cold right out of the fridge, it’s a great option for making ahead or meal prep.
