With these disposable tea bags, I can drop the tea bag into the cup, put the lid on and walk out the door and not have to worry about bringing the strainer back home with me. There’s also less clean up.
Disposable paper tea bags are a convenient and eco-friendly option for brewing tea. The paper material is biodegradable and doesn't contain any harmful chemicals, making it a safe choice for the environment. I don’t notice any taste from the bags themselves.
The tea bags are well made and do a good job of brewing tea. The paper material is sturdy enough to hold the tea leaves without tearing, although I did tear my first bag. The trick is to pinch the corners of the bag right where the string loops into it and pull the string away from your pinched fingers. No tearing if done right. The bags also allow adequate room for the tea leaves to expand, resulting in a full-flavored and well-brewed cup of tea.
I still use my metal strainers when it suits me, but I like the option of having these disposable tea bags for convenience and these were fairly inexpensive so definitely worth buying.

Things I was worried about from reviews I was reading before buying:
#1 - Taste from the pouches
My result -- I have tried this with various loose leaf teas and have not been able to tell a difference between using the pouch and using a metal strainer/filter. I am generally someone who can taste subtle differences, so I suspect I would have noticed if that was something.
#2 - Easy to rip pouch
My result -- This was not really an issue. They are definitely fragile. It is easy to tear the seem along the side, and I did that on my first use. However, it only happens if you are not being careful. So just be careful and this is a non-issue.
#3 - Bag disintegrating
My Result -- I have yet to have issues this. Maybe if you brew with absolutely scalding water and let it brew for a long time then it's a problem, but I don't use water that hot. Probably only around 140F, and a typical brew lasts around 5 minutes. Again, with that formula, I have not had any issues.
Things I really enjoyed:
This completely solved the first world problem I was having of not wanting to use washable metal tea strainers/filters. This holds my teas very well, and is extremely easy to use. I really enjoy this and it will make tea so much more convenient and accessible going forward.
