Instructions
Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats
Add butter and marshmallows to a large pot over low heat, stirring frequently.
¼ cup unsalted butter, 10 ounces marshmallows
Once marshmallows are almost completely melted, add peanut butter and stir continuously until integrated.
¼ cup peanut butter, creamy or crunchy
Remove from heat and fold in Rice Krispies. Working quickly, transfer mixture to 9" x 13" baking dish* and use a spatula to flatten.
6 ½ cups Rice Krispies
Allow them to set at room temperature for about an hour, or in the refrigerator for 45 minutes before removing from the tray and cutting into 1" x 4" sticks.
Chocolate Dip (optional)
In a microwave-safe dish, microwave chocolate chips for 30 seconds and stir until smooth. If needed, continue to microwave in 10-second intervals, stirring in between, until all of the chocolate chips are melted.
½ cup chocolate chips, dark or semi-sweet
Dip Rice Krispie Treats into chocolate and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Allow chocolate to solidify.
For optional peanut butter drizzle, microwave 1 tablespoon of peanut butter for 15 seconds to loosen. Use a spoon to drizzle the melty peanut butter on top of the chocolate.

Notes
* Line baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal and less clean-up!
You can easily use crunchy peanut butter in the treats—the peanuts are a nice extra crunch factor! Smooth peanut butter is best for the optional drizzle.
