Add water, brown sugar, and pumpkin pie spice to a small pot or saucepan and whisk to combine. Turn heat on to medium and bring to a boil.
Bring heat down to low and allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sugar and spices are fully dissolved in the liquid.
Transfer to a heat-safe jar with a lid, allow to come to room temperature, and then store in the refrigerator.
Use to sweeten your favorite tea, coffee or cocktail. Enjoy!
